Enduring the Wait

It’s Labor Day and we are driving home from Ft. Myers, FL. We went down to celebrate my grandma’s 100th birthday. We celebrated Raleigh’s 6th too. It was so great to see my family from all across the US. It was also a nice distraction from the “wait to get Aili”. We are now on day 32 of our wait for LOA. This wait could make any mama crazy. The moms before me have survived, so it must be doable. This is what I tell myself to stay sane. Also, I’m figuring I can plan a trip every weekend to get my mind off of being half way around the world from my daughter. It worked this weekend. Guess that’s not financially feasible. Hmmm…well my mom and Bill will be here next weekend. That will help. And we’ll be having a birthday party for R. They’ll also be coming on the 20th for a few days, and then the final move to their new home (just 3 miles from us!) will be Oct 4th! Ok, I feel better now 🙂
