One Step at a Time

I just about have our dossier complete. I just need a couple things notarized then go to Fulton County Clerk of Court to get some documents county authenticated. And lastly, I will take it all to the Secretary of State to have everything state authenticated. We had to hire a courier service in New York and in Nassau to process documents for us there. And I’ve been to two other counties around here for authentication. Each document requires about 5 steps, and each step someone is getting paid…by us 🙁

Anyway, the good news is that we are getting closer and closer to Aili! I will be sending off all of our dossier (except i800a Supp3) to Heartsent tomorrow or Thursday. They will review everything to make sure we did everything right and that it’s complete. They will hold onto it until I receive approval of our i800a Supp3 from USCIS, hopefully next week! Then everything will be sent to the Chinese Consulate. After approval there, our dossier will at last be sent to China!

There are still many steps after that, before we can get on that plane. But we are closer to her today than yesterday.
